LCA XC hit the ground running at the Hebron Showcase

LCA XC hit the ground running after fall break with a meet on October 2 at the Hebron Showcase at Hebron Christian Academy.

Azalea Snell placed 4th in the middle school girls race with a time of 14:03 for 2 miles, which puts her at the top of the GISA rankings for that distance. Penelope Pourchier had a strong Top 20 finish with a time of 15:26. The middle school girls team placed 4th at the meet.

Teagan Swanepoel led the middle school boys with a new personal best of 13:57 at the 2-mile distance, finishing just outside of the Top 20 in 22nd place.

Both middle school teams will travel to Statesboro this weekend to compete in the GISA season-ended middle school meet.

Caleb Gary continues to run well and ran close to his personal best on a tough course at Hebron. Ava Meier led the varsity girls, finishing 28th and Chloe Helsens followed behind in 33rd.

Varsity will have the weekend off from racing as they continue to work towards the Region Meet in a few weeks.

Come watch all of the Lions in action at home on October 9 at the Walton County Championship. Varsity girls kick off the action at 3:45 on Hawkins Field. We will have CFA sandwiches for sale so park the car after carpool, grab a sandwich, and come cheer on the Lions!
