Jason Grady did really well on Thursday at the Landings @ Lake Oconee golf course. He shot a 78, playing a tough course in windy conditions. He finished third as an individual qualifier, missing advancing to the State event by only 4 strokes.
Another season complete and quite different from last years covid shortened one. We won our last match 178-195 against Lanier Christian and finished the season 4-5, short of our .500 goal. I’m pleased, especially with 6 new golfers on the team, some new to the game.
We’ll certainly miss the two seniors, Nick & Brent. Nick has played the last 4 years.
We had our last 2 matches, losing to Bethlehem Christian 184-182 & winning against Lanier Christian 178-195. We finished the season 4-5. Of the 11 players, 6 were new to the team, some new to the game. One of the highlights was seeing the improvement in the new players as the season progressed. We’ll miss Nick Buchanan & Brent Taylor who graduate.
