Kent Kramer Classic Recap

Christopher Morton led the boys with a Top 20 finish (18th). Luke Evans was next across the line for the Lions. Noah Smallwood and Simeon Frith pushed each other, finishing 77th and 78th. Bryce Richardson had a great race on a tough day and was one of the few runners in the entire field that pulled off a PR. Corbin Smith rounded out the Lions’ Top 5.

Azalea Snell led the varsity girls with a Top 10 finish (7th). Anna Meyers (29th) was next across the line, followed closely by Presley Whitaker (32nd) and Penelope Pourchier (34th). Isabelle Gary (65th) rounded out the Top 5 for the Lions. Emery Loyless also had a strong race.

Joshua Truesdale led the middle school boys with an 11th place finish, missing the Top 10 by just two seconds. Brayden Kell (25th), Andrew Poston (35th), Lawson Snell (36th), and Christian Poston (43rd) rounded out the Lions’ Top 5. Clay Ernst and Brandon Barolette also had strong races. Congrats to these young men on a great season. The future is bright for our XC program.

McKenna Thacker led the middle school girls with a 4th place finish. She was followed by Ava Adderley (20th), Brielle Richardson (29th), and Ife Olabiyi (32nd). 

North Oconee Invitational Recap (HS)

The boys kicked things off with all five Lions running personal best times. Christopher Morton led with a time of 18:34 - a new school record! Luke Evans was next, dropping more than 3 minutes from his time on this course last season. Simeon Frith, Corbin Smith, and Bryce Richardson also dropped significant time. The boys are looking strong and cohesive as we move closer to the region meet. 

Azalea Snell led the girls with a season PR, finishing 7th in a very strong field of single A region and state contenders. Anna Meyers was next with a strong finish, followed closely by Presley Whitaker, Penelope Pourchier, and Isabelle Gary. Isabelle had a big PR, running her fastest 5K time by more than a minute! Emery Loyless also had a great race, missing her PR by just 3 seconds.
