Clay Target Sports Season Opener

The 2019 LCA Clay Targets Team opened its competitive season with appearances in GISA Qualifier Meets on September 7 and September 21st.  The first meet was held just south of Macon, Georgia at the Ocmulgee River Gun Club.  LCA High Overall scorer was Will Anderson with a 119, Jacob Dudik was 2nd at 112 and third was Dalton Skipper at 108.

On the 21st, the team travelled to historic Old Hudson Plantation in Sparta, Georgia for a 12 team GISA meet. The scenic but difficult sporting clays course included deep woods stations as well as stations shooting over a lake and one trick station shooting clays bounced off a trampoline!  Our best scorers that day were Jacob Dudik and Dalton Skipper who tied for High Overall on our team at 113 and for Will Anderson for 3rd place at 103.  Zach Bruno and Evan Heit each had 101’s.

LCA will be hosting our own meet on October 19th at the South River Gun Club.  Everyone is invited to attend and support our Shooting Lions.
