Varsity Lady Lions Soccer vs The King's Academy

On Tuesday the Lady Lions traveled to Woodstock to take on King’s Academy in a non region contest.

Through most of the entire 1st half the game was pretty much a midfield quagmire. Even though it was hard fought neither team showed their best. The attacking opportunities were few and far between.

With the start of the second half both teams seemed to make adjustments. The game began to open up. The Lady Lions were first on the scoreboard with a goal from Emma VandenOever, her 1st of the season, with the assist once again coming from another Haley Herron corner.

The relief of getting that goal only  inspired King’s Academy to pick up the intensity. With 12 minutes to go King’s Academy leveled the score. They soon added a 2nd with 7 minutes left to play.

Unfortunately the Final King’s 2 Lady Lions 1.
