The LCA varsity track team made LCA history with 5 individuals qualifying for the state meet at the GISA 1AAA Region Meet Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Taurrya Owens set the trend throwing a personal record in the shot put to kick things off on the girls side.
The boys 4x100 had a devastating mishap with the first exchange, but made up for the travesty as the meet progressed. Dana Lucas was crowned 100m champion of the region meet. The boys 4x400 clawed their way to a 4th place finish to wrap up the day as state qualifiers.
The top 4 finishes were able to advance to state in each event. The LCA lions finished strong with a number season best performances.

The state meet will be held in Albany, GA April 26 - 28, 2018.
