Loganville Christian Academy Lions Grab Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Gatewood

Loganville Christian Academy Lions stole the lead late and defeated Gatewood 4-3 on Thursday. The game was tied at three with the Lions batting in the bottom of the sixth when Cole Yancey doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Gatewood scored three runs in the first inning, but LCA still managed to pull out the victory. Cooper HallTory Randolph, and Drew Haley all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

In the first inning, Gatewood got their offense started. Hall doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the first inning, Loganville Christian Academy Lions tied things up at three. Jesse Cash drove in two when he singled.

Ean Snell earned the win for the Lions. He went two innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out one and walking zero.

James Williamson took the loss for Gatewood. He went two innings, allowing one run on one hit, striking out two and walking one.

Walt Jarrett started the game for Gatewood. He surrendered three runs on five hits over four innings, striking out two. Allen Brown started the game for Loganville Christian Academy Lions. He lasted five innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out four and walking zero.

Loganville Christian Academy Lions racked up six hits on the day. Cash and Merritt Reece all managed multiple hits for the Lions. Reece and Cash each collected two hits to lead the Lions. LCA didn't commit a single error in the field. Reece had six chances in the field, the most on the team.

Gatewood scattered eight hits in the game. Hall and Haley each managed multiple hits for Gatewood. Hall went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Gatewood in hits.
