On Tuesday, August 29, Loganville Christian Academy played Russell Middle School at home.  The Lady Lions A-Team came out strong at the beginning of the match, making some of the best plays of their season; however, the strong Russell servers proved to be too much for them to overcome with a final score of 25-10, 25-15.  After the match, Coach Drobny said this about the team, “They have come a long way in a few, short weeks, and they are looking more and more like a unified team every time they take the court.  We have consistent servers, and our hitters are becoming more aggressive at the net.  Our defense needs some work, but we are definitely headed in the right direction.”

The Lions B-Team also played Russell on Tuesday.  They came very close to winning both games of the match, but in the end, the final score was 25-19, 25-19.  Coach Drobny said, “This group of girls has an incredible amount of determination and heart.  When most teams their age would give up after getting behind on the scoreboard, this team never quits.  Seeing them play, it is clear the LCA volleyball program has a bright future ahead.”

Both teams play again at home on Thursday, August 31, against Haymon Morris Middle School.  Come out and support your Lions!
