Clay Target Sports @ Old Hudson Plantation GIAA Qualifier

Clay Targets performed well on Saturday, October 22 at the GIAA Qualifier held at Old Hudson Plantation.

 The team placed 2nd in the AAA Division scoring 383/450 targets by our top 3 team members! Stratford Academy took first place in the AAA Division scoring 415/450 targets. Congratulations to Piedmont Academy for taking first place in the AA Division and the overall top team score of the day scoring 429/450 targets.

Varsity Volleyball @ Lakeview Christian and Athens Christian School

Loganville Christian varsity volleyball team wrapped up 1st place in the region by defeating Lakeview Christian in 3 sets by the scores of 25-10, 25-14, and 25-19. The Lady Lions finished the regular season undefeated in GIAA Region 4 AAA with a perfect 6-0 record.

The Lions had 32 kills on 30 assists, and Jordyn Towns hammered down 14 kills and 5 aces to lead the way. Ella Morris also had a big night with 8 kills and 5 aces. Maddie Husband and Sydney Stewart chipped in 5 kills each. Madeline Bullington finished the night with 30 assists.

Before the second game of the night, the Lady Lions recognized their two seniors Presley Jansma and Jordyn Towns. This was Presley's first start of the year and she responded with 2 kills and played solid all around.

LCA defeated Athens Christian Academy by the scores of 25-22 and 25-13.

Jordyn finished with 11 kills and 3 blocks. Jordyn entered the night 4th in the state of Georgia with 337 kills. After both games, she is now 3rd in the state with 362.

Sydney Stewart added 8 kills and Ella Morris finished with 5 kills and 3 aces. Maddie Husband recorded 3 kills and 6 aces. Madeline Bullington did a good job setting and finished with 23 assists. Emerson Diaz’s ball control was a big factor in both wins tonight and added 19 digs.

The Lady Lions are now 24-10 on the season. The next games are in Macon versus Tattnall Square and Stratford Academy on Tuesday, September 27th.
