Varsity Wrestling @ GHSA Sectional Tournament

This past week end the wrestling team participated in the GHSA Sectional Tournament in Brunswick, Georgia. This was a great opportunity for each boy as they wrestled boys from different parts of the state that also qualified for this in their Area Tournament. We did not have the results we were hoping for but we did learn that we can compete with other programs throughout the state. It has been a great season for the wrestling team and each wrestler has placed in multiple tournaments over the season. As you can see in the picture when there are no more weigh ins for the season the first thing the boys want to do is eat all they can.

Varsity Wrestling @ Archer JV Invitational

The wrestling team participated in the Archer JV invitational this past Friday, January 21. LCA was represented well by all five wrestlers participating in the tournament and out of the five we had three wrestlers make it to the finals and all wrestlers placing in the tournament. There were 14 teams that participate in this tournament mostly from Gwinnett County along with LCA, Loganville, Franklin County, Lumpkin County and Westminster. It was nice to walk out of the gym knowing we are capable of competing with the larger schools.
