Redskins Invitational/FCA 5K Recap

The Lions had a great showing in Social Circle in the Redskins Invite on 9/26.

The middle school boys placed FIRST with three in the Top 10: Chris Morton, 2nd; Teagan Swanepoel, 6th; and Bryce Browne, 8th.

Our middle school girls placed fourth with two in the Top 10: Azalea Snell, 1st and Penelope Pourchier, 6th.

The varsity boys continue to race hard and chip away at their 5K times. They stand a solid chance to qualify as a team for state and the course in Albany will be fast and flat – perfect opportunity for big PRs.

Chloe Helsens is holding her own in big varsity races, despite being our only varsity girl.

We had 8 runners participate in the FCA 5K in Loganville last weekend, along with a 3rd grade sibling,  Andrew Poston.

Top 5 finishers:

Azalea Snell, Overall Female

Christian Poston, 1st place AG

Kelly Echols, 1st place AG

Andrew Poston, 2nd place AG

Teagan Swanepoel, 2nd place AG

Ella Masterson, 4th place AG

Our middle schoolers were unable to participate in the GISA state Meet because of fall break, but we had 5 runners ranked in the GISA Top 10.
