Clay Target Sports Lions Hosted GIAA Qualifier at South River Gun Club

Clay Targets had another outstanding performance Saturday, September 24th!

The Lions hosted their home competition at South River Gun Club as they participated in the GIAA Qualifier

Meet in the AAA Division.

 The team placed 1st in the AAA Division scoring 492 targets by our top 3 team members! Strong Rock took

second in the AAA Division scoring 482 targets. Congratulations to Piedmont Academy for taking first place in

the AA Division and the overall top team score of the day scoring 510 targets.

MS Football Hard Fought Win 16 - 8 over Sherwood Christian Academy

Offense made a Big 40 yard TD Pass by JR Snell to Hudson Grayson to go up 8-0 early in the game. JR Snell also made a big Pass to Josh Truesdell for a big gain.

Defense was outstanding!! Gave up one big play for a TD. Jeremiah Norton was making plays all over the field with outstanding hustle and Effort.

Offense pulled out some trickery and connected on reverse WR Pass back to the QB with Hudson Grayson Passing it back to JR Snell for another 30 yard TD pass to make it 16 - 8.

Lady Lions Volleyball @ Lakeview Academy

The Lady Lions volleyball won its 20th game of the season by beating region opponent Lakeview Academy in the three sets by the scores of 25-8, 25-15, and 25-12. 


Sydney Stewart led the Lions with 12 kills and 5 blocks. Jordyn Towns added 11 kills and 9 blocks. Freshman Maddie Husband also had a big night with 5 kills and 6 aces. Madeline Bullington recorded 25 assists and 3 aces. The Lady Lion’s overall record is now 20-10 and 3-0 in the region. The next game is home versus George Walton Academy, JV starts at 5:00 followed by the Varsity game at 6:00.
