Mugomba's Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Loganville Christian Academy Victory Over Gatewood Schools

Loganville Christian Academy took their game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple Gatewood Schools. The game was tied at eight with LCA batting in the bottom of the eighth when Dean Mugomba singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game. The Lions collected eight hits and Gatewood Schools had nine.

In the first inning, Gatewood Schools got their offense started. Gatewood Schools scored two runs when Bryce Johnson tripled.

LCA evened things up at eight in the bottom of the fifth inning. An error scored two runs for Loganville Christian Academy.

The Lions put up six runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught by the Lions was led by Dalton Strickland and Allen Brown, who each had RBIs in the inning. Brown also hammered his third home run of the season.

Gatewood Schools scored four runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by Gatewood Schools was led by James Williamson and Conner Olson, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Stone McCarty was the winning pitcher for Loganville Christian Academy . He surrendered zero runs on one hit over two innings, walking zero. Huston Morris threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Luke Haley took the loss for Gatewood Schools . He allowed two hits and one run over two and a third innings, striking out one.
