Lady Lions Softball ADVANCES ON IN GISA STATE TOURNAMENT

Loganville Christian Academy Lady Lions defeated Gatewood Academy 9-4 and 13-5 to win both games of the best of 3 games. The Lady Lions will travel to Pinewood Christian Academy on Saturday to play. The winner will advance to the Final 4.

Loganville Christian Academy Lady Lions grabbed an early lead on their way to a 9-4 victory over Gatewood on Tuesday. The Lady Lions scored on a walk by Taurrya Owens in the first inning, a single by Allie Hughes in the first inning, a single by Sarah Meyers in the first inning, and a groundout by Hughes in the second inning.

Gatewood scored three runs in the first inning, but Loganville Christian Academy Lady Lions still managed to pull out the victory. #22 and #44 each had RBIs in the frame.

Kirstie Busbee earned the win for Loganville Christian Academy Lady Lions. She surrendered four runs on ten hits over seven innings, striking out six.

#22 got the start for Gatewood. She surrendered nine runs on eight hits over six innings, striking out two.

Loganville Christian Academy Lady Lions scattered eight hits in the game. Molly Biesiadecki, Cassie Boatright, and Hannah Starling each managed multiple hits. Starling, Boatright, and Biesiadecki each collected two hits to lead Loganville Christian Academy Lady Lions.
