V Softball vs Providence Christian

The Lady Lions Softball team has fought hard this season, battling not only excellent competitors, but also harsh weather conditions that continue to cancel games, change practice plans, and move home games to away. This Tuesday, the weather was in our favor. As the girls stepped foot on the field, the energy was different.  Warm-ups were seamless, and the Lady Lions were ready to take on their opponent, Providence Christian Academy.  Pitcher Hannah Starling led the Lady Lions to victory, throwing a no-hotter.  Her defense was ready to assist, consistently making the outs, quickly returning to the dugout, and allowing zero runs the entire game.  The Lady Lions batting line up started slow, but they quickly adjusted to Providence's pitcher, earning 11 hits overall.  As each inning passed, the Lady Lions' energy and confidence continued to rise. By the end of the 4th, our girls earned a run-rule, beating Providence Christian in their first region game 13-0.  The energy was electric during our second home game, and our girls are itching to be on the field again. The Lady Lions softball team will face off against Prince Avenue Thursday.
