Logan Strickland Drives In Four As Loganville Christian Academy Middle School Lions Defeat Collins Hill

Logan Strickland was clutch at the plate with runners on base on Thursday, driving in four on three hits to lead Loganville Christian Academy Middle School Lions past Collins Hill 10-6 on Thursday. Strickland drove in runs on a triple in the first, a triple in the fourth, and a triple in the sixth.

Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. LCA collected ten hits and Collins Hill had three.

LCA opened up scoring in the first inning when an error scored one run for the Lions.

Collins Hill evened things up at three in the top of the third inning. An error scored one run for Collins Hill.

The Lions took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Strickland tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Kyler Fellows singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, and Kalen Stapp grounded out, scoring one run.

Loganville Christian Academy Middle School Lions tallied four runs in the sixth inning. LCA put the pressure on, lead by singles by Daniel Hobbs and Fellows and a triple by Strickland.

Strickland earned the victory on the mound for the Lions. He surrendered one run on zero hits over three innings, striking out eight and walking one. Cadan Lanier threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Lanier recorded the last three outs to earn the save for the Lions.

#23 took the loss for Collins Hill. He surrendered seven runs on six hits over three innings, striking out three.

#7 started the game for Collins Hill. He allowed four hits and three runs over three innings, striking out four and walking one Noah Smallwood started the game for LCA. He surrendered three runs on three hits over three innings, striking out five and walking one

The Lions racked up ten hits in the game. Strickland, Everett Wenzel, and Fellows each managed multiple hits for LCA. Strickland went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Lions in hits.

Collins Hill stole seven bases during the game as two players stole more than one. #37 led the way with two.
