The LCA Boys Varsity Soccer team played in a region match against Gatewood School on March 15, 2019 and won the game in penalty kick shootouts. Daniel Taiwo scored a great goal in the last minute of the game to tie it up and Payne Schultz and Zach Bruno did a great job holding down the defense. Eighth grader Carter Smith had many amazing saves as LCA’s keeper. After 2 five-minute overtime rounds and no goals, the game moved into penalty kicks where the Lions came out on top with 5 PKs. The final score was 2-2 (5-4 on penalty kicks). Our overall record is 5-1-0 and region record is 1-1-0. Our next game is away against The Kings Academy JV team at 7 pm on March 19, 2019.
