LCA Track and Field Team Opened Up the Season at Strong Rock Christian School Patriot Invitational

LCA track and field team opened up the season at Strong Rock Christian School Patriot Invitational Saturday, March 3rd. The team did an outstanding job overall. The field event crew kicked off the meet making LCA Track & Field history. Hats off to all of the field event athletes!

The runners showed great promise. The MS Girls (Emma Hall, Azalea Snell, Penelope Pourchier, Isabelle Gary) competed in LCA's first MS Girls 4x100 and took 5th place. Our HS Boys 4x100 were on their way to winning their heat, but were impeded by another runner during the race. Azalea grabbed a bronze medal in the 800m run. Hayden Rothe was victorious taking home the only gold medal for LCA in the MS Boys 800m finishing in 1st place. Caleb Dixon blazed his way to a silver medal in the MS Boys 200m dash finishing in 2nd place.

MS Girls (Azalea Snell, Penelope Pourchier, Emma Hall, and Isabelle Gary) finished 4th in the 1st ever MS Girls 4x400 relay. The MS Boys 4x400 relay of Hayden Rothe, Caleb Dixon, Teagan Swanepoel, and Larrell Sharp finished 2nd earning another silver medal for the team. Ava Meier, Bailey Echols, Chloe Helsens, and Taelor James finished in 6th place in LCA's first HS Girls 4x400. The HS Boys 4x400 team of Brian Borrero, Dana Lucas, Cameron Lifsey, and Avery King closed out the meet finishing in 6th place.
