On Saturday January 20th, the 2017 Clay Targets Team held their end of season event at the home of team member Noah Hardin. The event was a great success on several fronts. The first 2 hours consisted of the team shooting clays in an exciting format that included competition in several different shooting styles. After dark, the team and families retired to the pool area for grilled hot dogs and made delicious s’mores over two fire pits. The wrap up for the evening consisted of an awards ceremony that saw every team member earning a letter with a unique inaugural season team pin. Special awards went to Katie Cheek as MVP, Gabrielle Berry for winning the Christian Character award, Jacob Dudik with the Coaches Award and Cecily Berry as Most Improved. The evening ended as the team gave heartfelt best wishes to their 3 graduating seniors, Hannah Cheek, Katie Cheek and Katie Stueck.
The team is looking forward to the new season and the possibility of a week long shooting camp this summer.
