The varsity Lions ran well at the Area Championship last week with 14 personal bests, 3 new school records, and seven athletes qualifying to compete at Sectionals on May 8.

LCA had a great showing at the Walton County Championship Meet. With just 5 girls and 11 boys, the varsity Lions came away with 3 county championship titles, 3 new school records, 14 top 5 finishes, and 13 best times/marks.

High School Track Meet at Apalachee High School Recap - Thursday, March 4, 2021

Our high school track team traveled to Apalachee High School on Thursday. With just 7 girls and 11 boys, the LCA boys placed 2nd behind a very large Apalachee team; the girls placed 3rd behind Apalachee and North Oconee.

The Lions had 16 Top 5 finishes; 4 of those being first place: Anna Myers - 800, 1600

Teagan Swanepoel - 3200

Hunter Hampton - 100

The team ran and threw for 19 best times/marks.

Teagan and Caleb both came in under the current school record in the 3200, with Teagan holding it (for now) at 11:26.

The boys 4x800 relay (Teagan, Chris, Luke, and Caleb) also set a new school record of 9:53.

We had 5 athletes PR in all of their events: Tucker, Luke, Christopher, Teagan, and Caleb.

Great meet for the Lions.
