Three Pitchers Work Together In No-Hitter As Loganville Christian Academy Defeats Creekside Christian Academy

Loganville Christian Academy 's three pitchers didn't allow a single hit, as Loganville Christian Academy defeated Creekside Christian Academy 3-0 on Friday. Daniel Hobbs struck out J Drummond to get the last out of the game.

Dalton Strickland got the win for Loganville Christian Academy. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over two innings, striking out four. Hobbs threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Chantz McClendon, J.R. Curley, Strickland, Hobbs, Dean Mugomba, Logan Strickland, William Morris, and Allen Brown each collected one hit to lead Loganville Christian Academy .

Lady Lions vs The King's Academy

Friday’s non region match up with The King’s Academy presented the Lady Lions a chance at redemption. With a earlier 2-1 loss to King’s, confidence was again high amongst the players with the focus of finishing the game strong. Coach Ernst adopted to shift a little of his focus to next season and implemented the formation that the Lady Lions would use going forward.

With that the ladies were able to get on the score board with their first attempt at goal. Senior Jolie Sewell converted a hard fought goal giving the Lady Lions a 1-0 lead. 

With that goal King’s preceded to turn up the pressure. Jolie Sewell was given another opportunity a few minutes later but her shot hit off the crossbar. The Lions worked hard the remainder of the first half absorbing attack after attack until the end of the half. 

With the start of the second half King’s stepped up their game to give the Lady Lions all they could handle. As the end of the match approached the Lions were holding on to slim lead. With less than a minute left King’s was awarded a penalty for an apparent hand ball. King’s converted the PK and the game ended up 1-1.

Lady Lions vs Piedmont Academy

On Tuesday, April 9th your Lady Lions faced off in pivotal region match verses Piedmont Academy.  Confidence was high amongst the players but Coach Ernst was quietly hesitant. The team goal was set forth after Spring Break of finishing the season strong and on a positive note looking to go 5-0. 

The pace of the game was slow at times but the Lady Lions held the share of possession and goal scoring opportunities.

After a 18 minutes into the first half Katherine Owen put the Lady Lions ahead with her team leading 5th goal. Emma VandenOever drove into the heart of Piedmont’s defense and slid the ball to Katherine who then buried it in the lower right corner. Katherine was given another opportunity soon after with beautiful cross for Sophomore Paxton Yancey but Katherine’s volley was just wide of the post. As the first half ended the Lions had a 1-0 lead. 

With the start of second half the Lions came out with a purpose to finish off the game as soon as possible.
With the constant pressure on the Piedmont goal. The Lady Lions added a second with Piedmont conceding an own goal. (2-0)

Not but a few minutes later the Lions added to their total with Freshman Karah Paschal’s first goal of the season off of a Haley Herron corner. (3-0)

The Lions gave up a late conciliation goal off a crazy deflected shot but still ended up with 3-1 victory.
