Track Team Makes Their Mark at the GISA State Meet

The track team made their mark at the GISA state meet with 12 Top 8 finishes, including Ryley Hampton’s first place finish in the 300 hurdles and a photo finish second place for the boys 4x100. They placed second by just 0.06 seconds. The team consisted of Hunter Hampton, Brian Borrero, Cameron Lifsey, and Dana Lucas, Jr. 

Brian Borrero ran a best time in the 400 finals to place 3rd. Myles Ailster and Alex Noblett ran best times in the prelims and then again in the finals for both the 300 hurdles and the 110 hurdles; Myles placed 2nd and 3rd and Alex placed 5th in both. 

Julia Fleming ran a best time in the 100 prelims, missing finals by just one one-hundredth of a second. 

Bailey Echols finished her running career with LCA with a state meet debut in the 3200 and ran a best time in that distance by 15 seconds. 

The boys team managed to score 5th out of 16 teams with just six boys!
