What an awesome morning of racing in Albany. Everyone rose to the challenge of pushing themselves out of their comfort zone and the results were so great!
Penelope – dropped more than 90 seconds from her time at region and placed 20th at state as an 8th grader (22:16)
Christopher – dropped 70 seconds from his time at region, running a very impressive 19:19 as an 8th grader
Caleb – dropped more than 45 seconds from his personal best to run 19:29
Avery – dropped about a minute and came in under 20 minutes with a 19:51
Tucker – dropped significant time and nearly broke 20 minutes, running 20:08
Sam – dropped a minute from his personal best at region to run 20:13 at state
Teagan – dropped 4 seconds from his region time, running 20:29 at state
Jayden – dropped nearly 2 minutes to run 22:37 in just his second attempt at the 5K distance
The boys team placed 5th overall (out of 15 AAA teams). Way to go!
I am so proud of everyone’s effort. Your hard work paid off in a big way.
Now let’s rest a little …. and then keep building on the work we did this fall. It is going to be a great track season in the spring.
