Cross Country Region Meet

LCA hosted the GISA Region meet on Saturday morning. A huge thank you to parents, siblings, and middle school runners for coming out in the cold and rainy weather to work the course, pass out water, set up, and clean up. We were able to get in and get out pretty quickly with so much help. Thank you!

Despite the nasty weather, there were some pretty fast times run on our course yesterday. I guess the kids wanted to get back to their sweat shirts and blankets ASAP.

We had four 8th graders make their varsity debut in the region meet and they all did a great job!

8th grader Penelope Pourchier earned All-Region honors with her 8th place finish in the varsity girls race and will advance to the GISA state meet in Albany on November 2.

The boys team placed 4th and will advance to state as a team. Christopher Morton and Teagan Swanepoel (both 8th graders) led the team with fast times in nasty weather … 20:29 and 20:34, respectively. TuckerEchols ran a personal best of 20:55. Avery King and Sam Bach also ran personal best times.
