Varsity Lady Lions Soccer vs Oak Mountain

The Lady Lions Soccer Team hosted Oak Mountain on April 30th, the team’s last regular season contest on the year. The Lions got off to a quick start, scoring 5 goals in the first 12 minutes, and coasted from there on to a 7-0 win. Senior Katie Cheek scored 4 goals and had 1 assist, and 8th grader Olivia Wolff added 3 goals herself as well as 2 assists. Paxton Yancey (2) and Haley Herron (1) each had assists on the match as well. Goalkeeper Annalyn Kendall posted 10 saves in yet another shutout on the season. After this win, the Lady Lions conclude the regular season with a program best 15-4 record, clinching a playoff spot for the first time in school history. The Lions will play against Westminster Academy on Friday, May 4th at 5:30 in the first round of state playoffs.
