The Lady Lions’ Soccer Team kicked off their 4-match week playing away at Heritage on April 10th. Just 10 minutes into the half, the Lions found themselves down 0-1. Late in the first half with just a few minutes to go, Katie Cheek assisted Olivia Wolff who found the back of the net off the through ball, tying the game 1-1 at halftime. Later in the second half, the same duo reconnected on a very similar play, giving Katie Cheek her second assist on the match and Olivia Wolff her second goal, giving the Lady Lions the advantage 2-1. The game then turned into a defensive stand, led by center backs Katie Stueck and Haley Herron along with goalkeeper Annalyn Kendall, who helped shut down the attack of Heritage, resulting in a 2-1 win for LCA. This improved The Lady Lions’ record to 9-2 on the season. The Lions next match will be against Holy Spirit Preparatory school on 4/11.
