After the Lady Lions’ game on Wednesday was canceled due to inclement weather, the Varsity Girls’ Soccer Team picked back up on Friday, March 2nd in a match against Notre Dame Academy. The LCA Lady Lions defeated Notre Dame by a score of 2-0, with early goals from Katie Cheek and Olivia Wolff. In what proved to be another defensive test, goalkeeper Annalyn Kendall posted a career high 23 saves. It was that and the help of some strong defending from starting defenders Katie Stueck, Haley Herron, Savannah Pierce, and Alli Ford led to the team’s 3rd shutout in 3 games, still having yet to allow a goal. The Lady Lions’ next contest will be on March 13th at 5:00 pm, playing away at Oak Mountain Academy.
