Lady Lions defeated Westminster by a score of 3-0, improving to 2-0 on the season

On Tuesday, February 27th, the Varsity Girls’ Soccer team faced off against Westminster Christian Academy. In their second match in as many days, the Lady Lions defeated Westminster by a score of 3-0, improving to 2-0 on the season. Katie Cheek and Olivia Wolff continued their scoring ways from the first game with a goal each, while Paxton Yancey added her first goal of the season as well. Goalkeeper Annalyn Kendall posted a career high 7 saves in her second shutout on the season, with the help of a strong defense led by center-backs Katie Stueck and Haley Herron. The Lady Lions’ next contest will be their first away game of the season, against Atlanta Girls School on Thursday, March 1st. The game will be held at Atlanta Silverbacks park, kicking off at 4:00 pm.
