Congratulations to boys and girls Middle School XC for winning the GISA Middle School State Championship at Bulloch Academy this weekend.
The middle school boys team blistered the field. Austin Spencer led the Lions in 4th place, followed by Teagan Swanepoel, Blake Callaway, Matthew Scruggs, and Caden Lanier - all finishing Top 10!! All 5 crossed the finish within :30 of each other and won the team championship by 12 points. Awesome racing!
Azalea Snell led the middle school girls with a first place finish, followed by Penelope Pourchier in 3rd. Elizabeth Bennett finished Top 10 - 6th. Emery Loyless ran a HUGE PR and finished 11th to help the Lady Lions clinch the championship.
Come support Middle School and Varsity XC at home on this Tuesday, October 9, in the Walton County Championships. LCA will host Loganville, George Walton, Monroe Area, Walnut Grove, Social Circle, and Carver. The action kicks off at 4:15 with varsity girls.
