LOGANVILLE — Loganville Christian Academy fell to a record of 2-1 with a 46-7 loss to non-region foe Augusta Preparatory Day School while the Cavaliers extended their record to 3-0.
Augusta set the tone for the contest some 2 minutes in when they went 52 yards on four straight passes to take a lead that was never challenged by the Lions.
“We’re a young team,” head coach Andre King said, “and we never matched their intensity. That’s what happens when you have 14-15 years olds playing against 17-18 years olds.”
Augusta scored once more in the first quarter, three times in the second and one more in the third.
LCA avoided a shutout when Cameron Livsey found the end zone with 3:30 left in the game. The point after was good and the final score stood at 46-7.
Livsey was the leading rusher for LCA with 16 carries. Quarterback Jacob McFadden threw only nine passes all night and his 57 yards through the air was well below his per-game average.
