Announcing New Varsity Girls Basketball Coach

The LCA Athletic Department is pleased to announce Orlando Price, Jr. as the new Varsity Girls Basketball Coach. Coach Price has coached our middle school girls basketball team for the past two seasons, during which we have seen an increase in participation as well as growth in skill, production and increased passion for the game. We look forward to his visionary leadership and ability to see the best way to develop a love for the game and grow fundamentals and techniques at an early age. Coach Price is eager to get started by hosting basketball camps over the summer, off-season workouts and individualized training for our girls. 

Coach Price has 20+ years experience coaching county, youth competitive, and military basketball, as well as semi-pro basketball in Belgium. He is also the Director and a coach for Club Orange, a non-profit organization in the local community that he started with his son in 2013. This endeavor has earned the organization over 20 first and second place trophies. The clubs' main goal is to mentor young people while teaching them to have an appreciation for the game of basketball.

Coach Price and his wife, Machell, have four grown children, Orlando III, Antwon, Ashley and Kiah, and Jamal who is 14. Coach Price has served as an usher, was a member of the choir as a youngster and has also been involved with the youth council and youth tutoring programs at Carter Hill Baptist Church. They currently attend The Cross Church in Loganville. he is looking forward to using his gifts to mentor and develop our players long passed their playing days on the court. His hope is for a culture in which our varsity girls program enjoys success that breeds a desire for our younger girls to aim to be part of the program when they're in high school.
